The official web site for the new anime of Rumiko Takahashi‘s Ranma 1/2 manga revealed the present’s second promotional video on Saturday. The video previews ano‘s opening theme tune “Iinazukekkyun.”
The anime will premiere nationwide in Japan on October 5 on the NTV channel at 24:55 JST (successfully, October 6 at 12:55 a.m. JST). The anime will completely stream on Netflix after its broadcast.
Kappei Yamaguchi, Megumi Hayashibara, and Noriko Hidaka are reprising their roles as (male) Ranma Saotome, (feminine) Ranma, and Akane Tendō, respectively. Kōichi Yamadera is returning as Ryōga Hibiki, and Rei Sakuma is reprising her function as Shampoo. Minami Takayama and Kikuko Inoue are reprising their roles from the earlier anime as Nabiki Tendō and Kasumi Tendō, respectively. Akio Ōtsuka will play the function of Sōun Tendō within the new anime, changing Ryunosuke Ohbayashi. Chō will play the function of Genma Saotome rather than Kenichi Ogata, who would be the new anime’s narrator, changing the late Tadashi Nakamura.
New forged (not reprising roles from earlier anime initiatives) embody:
- Tomokazu Sugita as Tatewaki Kunō
- Ayane Sakura as Kodachi Kunō
- Toshiyuki Morikawa as Tōfū Ono
- Mamoru Miyano as Mikado Sanzenin
- Aoi Yūki as Azusa Shiratori
Kōnosuke Uda (One Piece: Dead End movie, DAYS) is directing the brand new collection at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon, Astro Note) is in control of collection scripts, and Hiromi Taniguchi (Kurage no Shokudō) is designing the characters. ano is performing the anime’s opening theme tune “Iinazukekkyun.” Singer-songwriter Riria. is performing the anime’s ending theme tune “Anta Nante.”
Twelve episodes of the brand new anime had been leaked in August.
