Kayoko Yoshizawa’s “Tasokare” Chosen As Opening Theme For Tasokare Hotel Anime

Kayoko Yoshizawa’s latest song, Tasokare, has been selected as the opening theme for the upcoming anime Tasokare Hotel, set to premiere in Japan in January 2025. The announcement coincides with the release of the anime’s first promotional video (left), with Yoshizawa also releasing a promotional video of their own via their personal platforms (below).

Tasokare is a song designed to evoke various imagery through its dynamic and evolving composition. Yoshizawa, who deeply engaged with the original game Tasokare Hotel, crafted lyrics that reflect the world of the story, drawing inspiration from its alternate ending. She hopes to captures the game’s themes of memory and human connection.

Reflecting on her experience crafting the song, Yoshizawa shared her thoughts:

The days I spent immersed in Tasokare Hotel were such bliss. “Tasokare” was inspired by the game’s alternate ending.

Dim memories that guide the story. The exchange of life caught in the in-between. What kind of ending awaits in the anime, I wonder? Please look forward to the intricate human drama that lies beyond the mysteries.

Born in 1990 in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, Yoshizawa debuted in 2014, gaining recognition with her single Nokotteru. This year, she celebrated her 10th anniversary in the music industry with a special concert at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in May. Currently, Yoshizawa is on her nationwide “Triangle Tour: The Traveling Witch,” which began in October 2024.
