Blue Box TV Anime to Stream on Netflix This Year – News


The official X (previously Twitter) account for anime on Netflix introduced on Thursday that the service will stream the tv anime of Kōji Miura‘s Blue Box (Ao no Hako) manga this 12 months.

Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus service publishes the manga in English digitally, and describes the story:

Taiki Inomata is on the boys’ badminton group at sports activities powerhouse Eimei Junior and Senior Excessive. He is in love with basketball participant Chinatsu Kano, the older lady he trains alongside each morning within the gymnasium. One Spring day, their relationship takes a pointy flip … And thus begins this brand-new sequence of affection, sports activities and youth!

The anime stars:

Yuichiro Yano (Moyashimon, Lupin the Third: Part 5) is directing the anime, and Yūko Kakihara (Buddy Daddies, Cells at Work!, Chihayafuru seasons 2-3) is overseeing the sequence scripts. Miho Tanino (Tower of God, Blue Thermal) is designing the characters.

Telecom Animation Film is producing the animation, and UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is in command of planning and manufacturing.

The anime will premiere in October on the TBS channel and its associates in Japan.

Miura first printed the story as a one-shot manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020. The journal began the manga’s serialization in April 2021. Shueisha printed the manga’s thirteenth compiled ebook quantity on December 4. Viz Media printed the manga’s seventh quantity bodily on November 7, and can publish the eighth quantity on January 2.
