Toei Animation Brings Anime Legends to NYCC in Massive Triple-Anniversary Year

Toei Animation reveals its lineup ahead of its appearance at New York Comic Con 2024, coinciding with milestone years for several major properties.

One Piece‘s 25th anniversary this year has seen major shocks and announcements, not least the recent decision to suspend production of the ongoing “Egghead” arc for six months. While Egghead’s quality has been some of the best of the series, many fans understand that the decision will allow for better pacing in the future. Following a One Piece anime special on Oct. 20, a remastered version of the “Fishman Island” arc will air until the Egghead arc returns. It will stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll, whose description of the new One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga can be viewed below.

“The Straw Hats reunite at Sabaody! The promised day has arrived. The Straw Hats have made it back to Sabaody Archipelago after two arduous years of separation. In the very same place where they once lost to Pacifista, the Straw Hats have proven themselves to be stronger and ready to begin their journey to the New World. With the Thousand Sunny now equipped to travel underwater, the next stop is the Fish-Man Island. One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga is a special edited version of the original arc from One Piece in an abridged 21-episode story with an enhanced contemporary visual look.”
