Crunchyroll to Screen Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- Compilation/Preview Film in U.S., Canada on December 6

Crunchyroll introduced on Thursday that it has acquired the North American and choose worldwide rights for Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, a compilation movie for the Solo Leveling anime’s first season and a preview of the primary two episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures will display screen Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- on December 6 in theaters within the U.S. and Canada.

The screenings will open in Japan on November 29.

Solo Leveling Season 2 -Come up from the Shadow-, the second season of the anime of author Chugong and the late artist DUBU‘s (REDICE Studio) Solo Leveling manhwa, will debut in January 2025. Crunchyroll will stream the second season.

The anime’s first season debuted in Japan on January 6. Crunchyroll added the English dub of the anime on January 20.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

It has been over a decade for the reason that sudden look of the “gates”—the paths that join our world with a special dimension. Since then, sure people have woke up to supernatural powers. We name these people “hunters.” Hunters make their dwelling by utilizing their powers to beat dungeons contained in the gates. On this world of powerful clients, the low-ranked hunter Jinwoo Sung is called “the weakest hunter of all mankind.” Someday, Jinwoo will get fatally injured when he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden inside a low-rank dungeon. Simply then, a mysterious quest window seems in entrance of him. On the verge of loss of life, Jinwoo decides to just accept the search and begins leveling up… whereas the others aren’t.

Shunsuke Nakashige (Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory) directed the anime collection at A-1 Pictures, and Noboru Kimura (Gundam Build Divers, Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!) served as the pinnacle author. Tomoko Sudo (Alice in Borderland, Fragtime) designed the characters, and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, Kill la Kill, Mobile Suit Gundam UC) composed the music.

BTS sibling idol group TOMORROW X TOGETHER and composer Hiroyuki Sawano (SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]) carried out the opening theme track “LEveL.”

The manhwa adaptation of Chugong‘s Solo Leveling novel collection, with illustrations by DUBU, launched on Webtoon providers in March 2018 and resulted in December 2021. Yen Press publishes the manhwa and unique novel collection in English. Kadokawa publishes the manhwa in Japanese below the title Ore Dake Level-Up na Ken (I am the Solely One Who Has Leveled Up).

The manhwa can also be inspiring a Korean live-action adaptation.
